
The Fort Campbell Lady Falcons finished in fifth place at Saturday’s Class 1A Region 1 Track and Field Meet and will have five entries at the state meet.
Freshman A’Mari Grimsley won the 100-meter hurdles in a personal best time of 17.26 seconds.
Zyaziah Langley finished in third place in the high jump at 4-8 to earn a state berth.
Elisee Nguimbi came in third place in the pole vault at seven feet, a new personal best.
The 1600-meter relay team of Alexa Aubuchon, Kendal Bradley, Zyaziah Langley, and Aryel Schaired took first place in 4:23.93.
The 800-meter relay team of Alexa Aubuchon, A’Mari Grimsley, Zyaziah Langley, and Aryel Schaired came in third place to nab a state berth in 1:52.88.
The running events were ordered to be re-run on Saturday at Caldwell County High School after timing and scoring issues arose on Wednesday’s original date at Murray High School. The field events were not affected by the scoring snafu.
The top two finishers at region and the next 10 times/heights/distances statewide qualified for the state meet set for Thursday at the University of Kentucky.
In other events, Grimsley finished in sixth place in the 300-meter hurdles in 57.36 seconds.
Kendal Bradley was seventh in the long jump with a personal best of 13-11 and 10th in the 200-meter dash in 30.20 seconds.
Grace Stultz was fourth in the 1600-meter run in 6:15.46; fourth in the 800 meters in 2:53.14; and was seventh in the triple jump at 26-9.5
Zyaziah Langley came in fourth place in the 400-meter dash in 1:09.58.
Cyri Reed came in eighth place in the shot put at 22-1.5 and 10th in the discus throw at 56-9.
Tayana Silva-Warren was eighth in the triple jump at 26-2.25.
Cheyenne Enlow finished ninth in the discus throw at 57-8 and was 10th in the shot put at 21-1.
Bria Baggett was 11th in the 100-meter dash in a personal best of 14.76 seconds.
Alexa Aubuchon was 12th in the 200-meter dash in 31.47 seconds.
Evelyn Arroyo was 13th in the 100-meter dash in 15.88 seconds, a new personal best.
The 400-meter relay team of Alexa Aubuchon, Kendal Bradley, Aryel Schaired, and A’Mari Grimsley came in fourth place in 54.71 seconds.
