This week’s Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ for the week of May 19 is University Heights Academy’s Griffin McCoy. Griffin was selected based on his efforts at last Saturday’s Class A, Region 1 track and field meet at Caldwell County High School.
McCoy picked up two individual first-place finishes and was on a first-place relay team for UHA at the regional meet.
He won the Boys 100 Meter Dash in a time of 11.17. Griffin also won the Boys 200 Meter Dash, with a winning time of 23.14.
His third top finish of the day came with the Boys 4×400 Meter Relay team, as University Heights took first place with a time of 3:28.80.
The Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ is selected each week from one of the five schools in Christian County (Christian County, Hopkinsville, University Heights, Christian County, and Fort Campbell) based on their performance in a big game or event for their team that week.
