Livingston Central will play for a 2nd Region championship on Wednesday night after shutting out Caldwell County 7-0 in semifinal action Tuesday in Dixon.

Eighth grader Addison Tramble pitched a three-hitter while striking out 15 to lead the Lady Cardinals to the win.

Livingston (25-6) will face Henderson County (30-6) for the regional title at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Webster County. The Lady Colonels blanked Madisonville-North Hopkins 8-0 in Tuesday’s first semifinal.

The Lady Cardinals hit Caldwell with three runs in the top of the first inning to grab the upper hand. A single run in the third was followed by another three-spot in the fourth, and Livingston was well on its way to the finals.

The Lady Tigers (17-15) were hurt by four errors in the contest. Only four of Livingston’s runs were earned.

However, that was still going to be more than enough the way Tramble was pitching in the circle.

She allowed just three singles while walking two and hitting two.

Chloe Doyle was 2-for-3 with a run batted in while Victoria Joiner and Emersyn Ramage each went 2-for-4 for Livingston.

Addalyn King and Neveah Jennings each doubled for the Lady Cardinals.

Caldwell, which had won seven of its previous eight games, got singles from Carlee Palm, Daelen Kizzee and Adley Lewis.

Livingston has taken its last five meetings with Caldwell.
