Just three days after the season ended, the search for a new head softball coach at University Heights Academy is now underway. Officials at the school confirmed to YourSportsEdge.Com Thursday that Ashlie Ezell had stepped down from the position after two years on the job.

Ezell, who replaced Jordan Grace after the 2023 season, was 10-20 in two seasons. The 2024 team went 5-11 and lost to Henderson County in the region quarterfinals.

In a limited schedule in 2025, the Lady Blazers went 5-9 and again saw their season ended by Henderson County in the opening round of the 2nd Region softball tournament.
