Landon Posey has previously competed at the state cross country meet for Hopkins County Central and can now add the state track and field meet to his ever-growing resume.
The freshman finished in 18th place in the 1600-meter run in 4:49.24.
His time was the 14th fastest in school history and the fifth fastest for him this season. Wesley Ipock holds the school record with a time of 4:38.76, set at the 2008 state meet, where he finished in seventh place.
