Union County had three medal podium visits from two athletes at Friday’s Class 2A State Track and Field Meet in Lexington.

Cooper Crowdus, who won the state title in the pole vault last year, finished in second place and set a new school record with a height of 14 feet. The pole vault was moved indoors to the new UK track facility due to the weather.

Koleby Schroeder came in seventh place in the high jump at 5-10 and finished in eighth place to earn a medal in the long jump with a leap of 19-01.75.

The 3200-meter relay team of Thomas Davis, Braden Todd, Kameron Davis, and Tristan Coy came in 18th place in 9:25.30.

Coy finished in 10th place in the 3200-meter run with a season-best time of 9:56.82, which was second-fastest in school history behind only Aaron Tucker’s 9:26.71 in 1998.

Coy was also 20th in the 1600 meters in 4:55.27

Thomas Davis came in 14th place in the 3200 meters in 10:23.35.
