Henderson’s Nunn Makes Medal Podium at State Meet (w/PHOTOS)

Henderson County had one athlete reach the medal podium at Saturday’s KHSAA Class 3A State Track and Field Meet at the University of Kentucky.

Jaxon Nunn finished in seventh place in the shot put with a personal best heave of 49-6.5.

Anthony Burrus finished 12th in the 110-meter hurdles in a season-best time of 15.90 seconds.

Levi Wright was 12th in the unified mixed shot put with his partner Drew Hagan (48-2). The same pair finished 16th in the unified 2×50-meter relay in 18.13 seconds.

Jacob Nunn was 14th in the discus throw with a personal-best distance of 139-1.

Jackson Smith was 16th in the pole vault at 11-6, while Aiden Hite did not make height.

Tyreese McCombs finished 18th in the 300-meter hurdles in 43.34 seconds.

Bentley Simpson was 21st in the discus throw at 128-2.

Ryder Cottingham was 22nd in the triple jump at 37-4.75.

The 3200-meter relay team of Jace Benton, Christian Smith, Jordan Haynes, and Ross Plummer came in 16th place in 8:32.62.

On the girls’ side, Avery Thomson was 12th in the pole vault at 8-6, while Lyana Combs failed to make height.
