There is now one remaining undefeated team in the Ohio Valley League, and that is the Madisonville Miners, as a result of their win on Tuesday evening against the Full Count Rhythm.

The star of the show was Cooper Wright, who finished the game with three hits, including an RBI double in the top of the ninth inning. This was one of Wright’s three runs batted in on the day, as he was a huge factor in the Miners’ 11-5 win.

Ian Cartwright, Coulter Hamilton, Clifford Wysinger II, Sean O’Brien, and Noah Berning had the other hits for Madisonville, with Hamilton having two RBIs.

Caden Wooldridge made the start on the mound for the Miners, and had a solid start with four innings and a couple of strikeouts.

Madinsonville went down 4-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning, but was able to tie the game at four runs apiece with a single from Wright. After that, it was all Madisonville, as they scored seven unanswered runs to take the lead and secure it.

The team will be looking to keep this win streak alive in their next game against the Henderson Flash on Wednesday, June 4. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. from Madisonville City Park.
