Dawson Springs sophomore Easton Bourland capped his track and field season by being named All-State in the 800-meter run by the Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Bourland finished in third place in the event at the Class 1A State Meet last week in Lexington, just missing his own school record by less than a second. The sophomore owns the nine fastest times in school history in the 800.
As a result, Bourland earned Second Team All-State honors.
Bourland also earned All-State honors as part of Dawson Springs’ state champion 3200-meter relay team.
