The third time is the charm for Ken Harrison, who has been named the head coach of Trigg County’s cross country and track and field programs.
Harrison coached at Trigg County in 2017-18 and was named the Class 2A All-Area Coach of the Year before leaving for Christian County.
He returned to Trigg County in 2020-21 before coaching stops at Stewart County, Tennessee, and Marshall County. He was an assistant coach for Christian County this spring.
Lauren Presscott and Eric Harrison have also been named assistant coaches for both programs.
The athletic department announced the coaching changes on its social media page the day after the Class 2A Region 1 Meet. Head coach Latrita Russell and her assistant coaches were informed they would not be retained for the 2025-26 season, but agreed to coach the team through last week’s state meet. Russell had also coached the cross country program for the past three seasons.
