The 2nd Region Player of the Year was among those recognized as 1st Team All-State by Kentucky high school baseball coaches. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd teams All-State were announced Wednesday.
Lyon County’s Korben Lucas was the only 2nd Region player named to any of the All-State teams.
Lucas has hit .589 for the season to date. He has 53 hits, 2 home runs, 16 doubles, one triple, and 40 RBIs. Lucas also had 5 stolen bases in six attempts.
The senior helped lead the Lyons to the 2nd Region championship and a berth in the state tournament, where Lyon County will play McCracken County Friday morning in Lexington.
