Mark Pope’s Father-Daughter Camp Sunday was every bit as successful Sunday as what the Father-Son Camp was the day before.

Vaughtsviews.com photographer Vicki Graff thought that freshman guard Jasper Johnson was “adorable” as she watched him interact with campers and their fathers Sunday. She was also impressed with Braydon Hawthorne, another freshman, who got along well with the young campers.

The players were also in a playful mood as junior Brandon Garrison and sophomore Collin Chandler turned the tables on Kentucky Today’s Keith Taylor. Graff said they took his camera and started taking pictures, including one of him joking around.

Greg Williams, the father of Tulane transfer Kam Williams, enjoyed what he saw watching the camps.

“The funniest thing was how hard some of the dads were playing. They were really getting after it and even diving on the floor for balls,” said Williams.

Greg Williams said his son got the rock star treatment that goes to UK basketball players.

“It was just a great atmosphere,” Greg Williams said. “(Coach Mark) Pope was able to enjoy about five minutes and then there was this long line for him to sign autographs. He was signing shirts, basketball, shoes and more and taking pictures both with the boys and girls. There was a lot of laughing and having fun. It’s just a great way for the players to start their Kentucky careers.”

Graff again got plenty of photos to capture the camp atmosphere, so enjoy her look at the UK players, UK coach Mark Pope and his wife Lee Anne, and even booster Kelly Craft.
