A second consecutive All A Classic state championship and a trip to the region title game have earned Matt Hargrove region coach of the year honors from the Kentucky Softball Coaches Association.
Livingston Central was 25-7 during the 2025 season, becoming the first Second Region school to repeat as All A Classic state softball champions.
The Lady Cardinals were district runner-up and advanced to the region championship game, where they lost to eventual state runner-up Henderson County.
In three seasons as head coach, Hargrove is 74-20 at Livingston Central.
