Another area school is looking at the possibility of taking to the water for competitive fishing. Athletic officials at Todd County Central High School have announced that the school is in the exploratory stages to start a bass fishing team for the Rebels.

In an announcement this week, Todd County Central stated that there is interest among student-athletes to get the sport up and started at the school.

The school is now in the process of seeking adults willing to coach and provide boats for both practices and tournaments.

Those interested in being a part of getting the bass fishing program up and running at Todd County Central are being asked to contact Athletic Director Mike Smith at mike.smith@todd.kyschools.us or to call 270-604-4982.

  1. This is great! I may have done this when I was at Todd Central. Way back in the late 1900s. Lol. Not everyone is cut out for football and basketball. This gives more students a chance to participate and be part of a team. Hope this does well.
Also, what are the chances of starting up a wrestling team? Many schools around us have already began working with boys and girls with qualified coaches. I feel like it would be a good time for Todd Co. to start a wrestling program.
