First-year receivers coach L’Damian Washington has landed his third recruit for Kentucky with the commitment of three-star receiver Dallas Dickerson of Bogart (Ga.) North Oconee High School.
The 6-1, 180-pound receiver has been timed in 10.36 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 4.42 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
Dickerson visited UK in mid-June but also made official visits to Oklahoma, Indiana, and Georgia Tech
“They have recruited me by always making sure that I knew I was a priority to them,” Dickerson told On3’s Chad Simmons. “I chose Kentucky because I see myself there with greater opportunities, more capabilities, and stronger connections and chemistry with the staff and the team,” he added.
Dickerson is ranked as a top 500 player on the On3 rankings and the 71st best receiver.
He told Simmons that he liked the “humbleness about him” when talking about Washington, also with his character. Stoops also made a big impression on him.
“I love coach Stoops’ composure,” Dickerson told Simmons. “During my meeting with him, he was very sincere when he talked about where the program is going and what direction it’s headed in. He made it clear that Kentucky football is taking a step up.”
