The Caldwell County Tiger football team will get an extra home game in the upcoming 2025 season.

A game against new Class 2A 1st District foe Todd County Central on Oct. 17 was originally down as a road date on the Tiger schedule, but that will now be a home game for Caldwell.

That means the Tigers will play six home games and four road contests this fall. However, that will shift the other way in 2026 when the Tigers go on the road six times with only four home dates.

It also means four of Caldwell’s five district games will be played at Tiger Stadium this season. That, too, will reverse in 2026 with four of the five district games on the road.

The first scrimmage this season is now just one month away, with the Tigers set to travel to Greenwood High School in Bowling Green on Friday, Aug. 8.

The regular season opens Aug. 22 with a trip to Hopkins County Central.

With the KHSAA dead period ending Wednesday, the Tiger football team is scheduled to be on the practice field Thursday afternoon.

Caldwell will host its Youth Football Camp next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. The camp was moved from last month because of the hot weather at the time.

Also next week, the Tiger football team will take part in 7-on-7 events at McCracken County and Murray State on Thursday and Friday evenings.
