Hannah Colbert Takes Over Caldwell Softball Program

A former rival is the new head coach of the Caldwell County Lady Tiger softball team.

Hannah Colbert, who was an assistant with the Lady Tigers this past spring, was introduced as Caldwell’s new head coach Thursday morning.

Colbert is a 2019 Trigg County High School graduate who was a standout player for the Lady Wildcats, earning All-2nd Region honors four times.

She went on to play two years at John A. Logan before finishing her college career with three seasons at Northern Kentucky University.

Colbert played for Toree Rogers at Trigg, and credited her former skipper for inspiring her to get into coaching…

Colbert spent just one season as an assistant at Caldwell, being a part of this spring’s 17-15 squad which won the 7th District championship and reached the semifinals of the 2nd Region tournament. She said she is glad to already have that familiarity with the team…

Colbert also spoke about having to replace two seniors, Brylee Butts and Harper Holeman, who will both be playing college softball…

Colbert replaces Seath Butts, who announced last month that he was stepping down after five seasons as Lady Tiger head coach.

Butts compiled an 84-73 record in his time in the Lady Tiger dugout.
