
Fulton grabbed the lead early, then held on to win 8-5 at Madisonville Thursday night in Ohio Valley League baseball action.
Three runs in each of the second and third innings spotted the Railroaders a 6-0 lead at Elmer Kelley Stadium.
Fulton also held leads of 7-1 and 8-2 in the contest.
The Railroaders evened their record at 16-16 while the Miners remain in last place in the league standings at 11-21.
Nazhir Bergen had a big night at the plate for Madisonville, going 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and three runs batted in.
Chris Henson was 3-for-5 for Fulton while A.J. Armstrong was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Ellis Hunt finished 2-for-5 with one run batted in.
Zander Smith, the Fulton starter, was the winning hurler. He went the first five innings, allowing just one unearned run on three base hits while striking out three.
Madisonville will play at home again on Friday against the first-place Full Count Rhythm.
Fulton will host the Henderson Flash on Friday.
