With temperatures and humidity rising, the Christian County Colonels were back in action Friday morning for their third game of the Best of the West 7-on-7, facing the team that won the event last summer coming out of the dead period. And Macon County, after losing handily to Madisonville not long prior, was in no mood to dilly-dally around.
The Macon County defense held Christian County to just defensive points for the game as Macon took a 33-7 win over the Colonels. The youthful Colonel offense had some moments, but could not sustain an attack against Macon County, as Christian County dropped to 0-3 for the morning in pool play.
