The Todd County Central Rebels did not have to look very far to find their new football coach, turning to someone who had been on the staff for the past couple of seasons in Elkton.
School officials confirmed Monday to YourSportsEdge.Com that Will Cohen had been tabbed to lead the Rebel football program. The job became open right before the dead period started when Chris Fletcher stepped away after one year on the job.
Cohen was an assistant for Todd County Central last season under Fletcher. He also spent a season as an assistant under former Rebel head coach Josh Robins.
With the season rapidly approaching, the school is hosting a community meeting to work to garner support for the program and for this year’s team, Tuesday evening at 7:30 in the school auditorium.
