
The Madisonville Miners held leads of 4-0 and 7-5, but the Paducah Chiefs rallied for a 9-7 victory Monday night in Ohio Valley League action at Brooks Stadium.
Madisonville took its last lead of the night with a three-run sixth inning. However, Paducah countered with three runs in the bottom of the frame to go back in front 8-7.
The Chiefs added another run in the seventh to go up 9-7 while improving to 20-14 and moving within 2.5 games of first-place Full Count.
Madisonville (11-23) got home runs from Pete Britton and Dominic Maldet, but the Miners could not hold on to the lead.
Javin Gauthier homered for Paducah and finished 2-for-4 with three runs batted in.
Konner Myatt helped nail down the win on the mound for the Chiefs by blanking the Miners over the final three innings while fanning four and not allowing a base hit.
Madisonville will host Hoptown on Tuesday while Paducah entertains Fulton.
