Caldwell County Tiger baseball standout Ari Wells has accepted an invitation to play for Team Kentucky in the 2025 Prep Baseball Future Games in Georgia.
The Future Games will take place from Wednesday, July 23, through Saturday, July 26, at LakePoint Sports in Emerson, Georgia.
The Prep Baseball Future Games bills itself as the premier summer scouting event for Class of 2027 prospects. Last year’s event saw more than 425 college coaches in attendance from across the entire country.
Each state’s team will play three games. On Wednesday, the first day of the event, all position players will be put through a showcase workout.
Wells, a rising junior at Caldwell County, batted a team-high .460 this past spring and led the team in runs batted in with 26.
On the mound, Wells was 2-1 with a save and a 2.58 earned run average as the Tigers went 19-7.
