Hopkinsville Lady Tigers coach Jeff Addison felt better after his team’s second loss on Saturday at the Bluegrass State Games in Lexington, thinking he had a good handle on a lineup to use for Sunday’s matchup with Louisville Holy Cross.

The veteran coach proved to be prophetic as four players scored in a 6-0 win at the Woodford County Youth Complex.

Kaydon Coats and Kaylyn Lynch each scored a pair of goals, and Jaycee Shanklin and Emma Dearmond each found the net once. Mariely Moreno Avalos, Lauren Jones, Shanklin, and Coats each added an assist.

Jaleigha McFarland and the Hoptown defense combined to notch the clean sheet to cap a 1-2 weekend.

Hopkinsville will host Graves County in its first preseason scrimmage on August 4.
