
The Trigg County Lady Wildcats swept all three of their weekend games at the Bluegrass State Soccer Games in Versailles.
Trigg opened play on Saturday with a 3-0 win over Bluegrass United, a homeschool team from the Central Kentucky area.
Leiah Hite scored Trigg’s first two goals, and Addison Humphries added a goal off a feed from Landie Hite to close out the scoring.
Trigg County closed out play on Saturday with a 4-2 win over Walton-Verona, which was played in the rain. Hite added two more goals for the Lady Wildcats, and Humphries and Maggie Wolfe each scored one.
On Sunday, Trigg recorded another 3-0 shutout, this time against West Carter. Wolfe, Landie Hite, and Lydia Redd all found the scoring column for the Lady Wildcats, who finished the weekend with a 10-2 scoring advantage.
The Lady Wildcats will host Marshall County in a preseason scrimmage on August 5.
