The Trigg County Wildcats began play at the Bluegrass State Games with its defense a bit ahead of its offense on Saturday.
The Wildcats were shut out 2-0 by Villa Madonna and tied Garrard County 2-2. James Garnett and Corben Woodall scored the goals for Trigg in the tie, with Nate Kelly adding an assist. Garrard County got its equalizers on a penalty kick and a free kick.
The Wildcats close out play in Lexington on Sunday against Boyd County.
