
Caldwell County completed the Bluegrass State Games unbeaten with two wins and a tie over the weekend in Lexington.
The Tigers opened play by blitzing Gallatin County 8-0 Saturday morning at Masterson Station Park.
Andrew Hall and Kale Turmero each scored goals in the first half, while Collin Turmero scored four times in the second half, including the final three of the match. Kale Turmero and Hale also added goals in the second half.
Caldwell County came back on Saturday afternoon with a 3-2 win over Pendleton County.
The Tigers finished up play with a 3-3 tie Sunday against Scott. The Turmero brothers and Hall again had the goals for Caldwell County.
The Tigers will host Apollo for a preseason scrimmage on Aug. 4 in Princeton.
