The Christian County High School baseball team will be on probation for its final year of competition before the merger with Hopkinsville High School. Christian County School officials made that announcement in a media release Monday morning.
School officials state that the Christian County Public Schools has self-reported a violation by the baseball program to the Kentucky High School Athletic Association. The infraction apparently involved the KHSAA’s “dead period”, which took place from June 25 through July 9.
During the KHSAA “dead period”, student-athletes are prohibited from using school facilities for athletic purposes, and coaches are not allowed to have any contact with their athletes. This includes restrictions on practices, workouts, training sessions, and team meetings.
School officials go on to say that after consulting with the KHSAA, as a result of these violations, the school district has issued disciplinary actions, which include a one-year probation for the Christian County High School baseball team. That probation will entail monitoring and, if there is another violation, stronger actions will take place.
In the media release, officials say, “The probation is intended to ensure future compliance with KHSAA policies and does not impact the team’s eligibility for postseason play.”
Officials add that they are cooperating fully with the KHSAA as part of the review process.

Looks like they were reported playing in a tournament in Florida and coached by their head coach. It also appears a principals son was on this team. Did another school report them before they self reported. Will this coach now be named the head coach of the new school? How much more can they take from this guy. Once a cheater always a cheater?
