Hoptown Splits Final Two Matches at Bluegrass State Games

The Hopkinsville Tigers split their final two games of the Bluegrass State Soccer Games in Lexington on Saturday.

Hoptown scored five times in a 5-2 win over Bryan Station at Masterson Station Park. Erick Hernandez and Alex Rameirez each had a pair of goals, and Rayan Bernal also contributed a goal.

The Tigers closed out play with a 3-2 loss to Wayne County on Saturday afternoon.

Bernal and Anthony Evangelista had the goals for Hoptown, who finished with a 2-1 record in Lexington.

The Tigers will scrimmage at Foundation Christian Academy in Bowling Green on Aug. 2 before hosting Calloway County on Aug. 4 outside the Stadium of Champions.
