Meryl Grogan tied for third place to pace Henderson County at the Marshall County Invitational on Tuesday.
Grogan shot a 7-over par 79 to equal the score of Bowling Green’s Caroline Childers. She shot a 39 on the front nine and a 40 on the back with a scorecard that showed seven pars and two birdies.
Ainsley Dalton shot a 94 to finish tied for 20th place. Lucy Whitfield shot a 95 to finish tied for 22nd place, and Cameron Davis shot a 96 to tie for 24th place.
As a team, Henderson County shot a 364 to finish in third place, behind Marshall County (326) and Graves County (351).
Tuesday’s match was played at the Calvert City Country Club with temperatures in the 90s and a heat index in the mid-90s. Although the weather approached the level of issuing a heat delay, play was not interrupted.
