
University Heights Academy opened the 2025 girls’ golf season with a fourth-place finish at the Marshall County Invitational on Tuesday.
Campbell Lindsey tied for 14th place with a round of 90 to lead the Lady Blazers. Her score was a 10-shot improvement from the same event a year ago.
Allie Sandifer carded a pair of birdies over her final nine holes and finished in 18th place with a 92.
Caroline Tucker and Ella Perry tied for 29th place with a score of 101. Tucker improved 27 shots over her score at the same event last year, while Perry, a 7th grader, played in her first varsity match on Tuesday and totaled three pars.
UHA’s team score of 384 trailed tourney winner Marshall County (326), second place Graves County (351), and third place Henderson County (364).
Tuesday’s match was played at the Calvert City Country Club with temperatures in the 90s and a heat index in the mid-90s. Although the weather approached the level of issuing a heat delay, play was not interrupted.
