A pair of Madisonville-North Hopkins golfers shot below 80 on a warm afternoon Wednesday at the Madisonville Country Club. Treyson Raymer and Jake Witherspoon both shot in the 70s during play in the Hopkins County Central Storm Invitational.
Raymer finished his round with a score of 77. Witherspoon was just two strokes behind his teammate with a round of 79.
Ryan Stokes, of Marshall County, took medalist honors with a 70. Landon Hunt, of McCracken County was one shot back with a 71.
Madisonville-North Hopkins A team ended up in 5th place in the team competition with a team score of 328.
McCracken County won the team competition with a 295. Marshall County was second at 305 and Owensboro Catholic’s A squad was third with a 319 team score.
