Another hot day on the golf course Thursday, and another solid effort for the Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons’ golf team. The Maroons were in Benton for the Benton Classic at the Benton Country Club.
Jake Witherspoon led the Maroon effort, finishing his round with a 76. Tyler Bryan was right behind him with a 77. Trayson Raymer ended up with an 84. Brennan Cole shot an 85 and Max Clayton finished with an 87.
McCracken County’s Landon Hunt took first place with a two-under-par 70. His teammate, Dallas Vinson took second with a one-under-par 71.
The Maroons finished the day with a team total of 322.
McCracken County’s A team won the team title with a team score of 293.
