The Hopkins County Central Storm soccer team was in action for the first time this year on Thursday evening in a scrimmage against the Eagles of Graves County. And despite it being their first game, they were able to perform well and get the win.
The Storm started off early with a quick goal, and was then able to get out to 2-0 lead. Graves scored a goal of their own, but Hopkins Central was able to play solid defense and make that the only game the Eagles scored the whole game.
That, combined with the two more goals the Storm scored, was enough to get the team their first win of the year. YSE was at the scrimmage to get some shots from early soccer action.
