A busy end to the week on the high school golf scene moved to Ben Hawes State Park Friday. The Christian County Colonels were among the teams on the course for the Daviess County Invitational.
Drew Fincham again led the way for the Colonels. He shot a 42 on the front nine and a 45 on the back nine to finish his day with a round of 87.
Paxton Carter, of Marshall County, and Dallas Vinson, of McCracken County, had the low scores of the day, with each shooting a round of 69.
On the team side, Christian County ended up with a team score of 401.
McCracken County continued its recent roll on golf courses across the area, taking 1st place with a team score of 283. Marshall County finished 20 shots back with a team 303. Owensboro Catholic had a 306 for the day.
