The Hopkinsville Tigers golf team was back on the course Friday, this time at Ben Hawes State Park for the Daviess County Invitational. The Tigers got consistent play from the five that took to the course, with all five finishing within 9 shots of each other.
Ryan Martin was the low man for the Tigers, finishing his day with a round of 84. Henry Riggs was right behind him with an 85.
Paxton Carter, of Marshall County, and Dallas Vinson, of McCracken County, had the low scores of the day, with each shooting a round of 69.
On the team side, the Tigers ended their day in Owensboro with a round of 346.
McCracken County continued its recent roll on golf courses across the area, taking 1st place with a team score of 283. Marshall County finished 20 shots back with a team 303. Owensboro Catholic had a 306 for the day.
