The UHA Blazers will head into the start of the 2025 soccer season with their offense clicking right along. The Blazers had three players score two goals each on the way to a 7-1 win over the Todd County Central Rebels in the final preseason scrimmage for both teams.
The Blazers got going early Thursday night. Graham Conrad scored off an assist from Hayden Hunt at the 10:00 mark to give UHA a 1-0 lead. Hunt then scored from out in front of the net as he beat the keeper to the left and put University Heights up 2-0 at the 17:30 mark.
The UHA defense kept the clamps on the Rebels until the final 30 seconds of the opening half when Todd Central’s Carson Caracciolo took a deflection off a corner kick and found the net to cut the Blazer lead to 2-1 at the break.

University Heights then went on an offensive blitz early in the second half to put the game away. The Blazers scored five goals in a stretch of 19 minutes to settle the issue. Hugh Sisk, Hayden Hunt, and Graham Conrad scored one goal each and Jayden Williamson scored the final two goals to close out the game for the Blazers.
UHA limited the Rebels to just three shots in the second half and seven shots for the night. At the other end, the Blazers had 16 total shots for the match.
Todd County Central finishes the preseason 1-1 and will now open the season Tuesday night on the road at Marshall County.
UHA goes 2-0 in the two scrimmages, outscoring their opponents 15-1, and will open the season Monday night at home against Madisonville-North Hopkins.
