Tigers Open Final Season with Draw at Ohio County

The final season of Hopkinsville Tiger soccer got underway Monday night on the road at Ohio County. The match came down to the wire and ended up with the two teams playing to a 3-3 draw.

The Tigers had three different players score in the match. Anthony Evangelista, Erick Hernandez, and Jason Macario had the goals for Hopkinsville.

Mikel Ramirez and Alex Ramirez had an assist each for the Tigers.

Hopkinsville also got a solid night from Raul Rivera in goal. Rivera had 8 saves for the night.

After being shutout in the opening half, the Eagles scored three second-half goals to take a 3-2 lead. However, the Tigers came back and scored a goal to even things up and that is how the match woudl finish.

Hopkinsville (0-0-1) gets right back to action Tuesday evening as the Tigers go on the road to open 8th District play against the Fort Campbell Falcons.

The Tigers have not lost to the Falcons since September of the 2009 season.
