Hoptown’s Martin Shoots Low Score In Three-Team Match at Boots

Ryan Martin, seen here at last week's Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club Invitational, took medalist honors on Monday in a three-team match at Trigg County.

Hopkinsville’s Ryan Martin took medalist honors in a three-team golf match on Monday at Boots Randolph Golf Course at Lake Barkley State Park.

Martin shot a 3-over par 39 on the front nine to edge teammate Isaiah Wood by two shots. Sam Riggs shot a 47, followed by J.B. Payne and Landon Holeman (53) and Aiden Riley (60).

Chris Adcock led Christian County with a 45, which was one shot better than teammate Drew Fincham. Reed Ezell shot a 53, and Jayden McMillian added a 60 for the Colonels.

Ethan Curling had the low score for Trigg County with a 45, good for a third-place tie. Carson Kline had a 53, followed by Luke Anderson (73) and Jeremiah Lawrence (80).

Hopkinsville’s score of 180 was 24 shots better than Christian County. Trigg County was third with a 251.
