This week’s Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ for the week of August 11 is University Heights Academy’s Hayden Hunt. Griffin was selected based on his efforts at last Monday night’s season-opening match for the Blazers against regional rival Madisonville-North Hopkins.
Hunt scored the Blazers’ first goal of the game just three minutes into the match and then scored their last goal of the game at 65:00 mark to lead UHA to the win.
The win for University Heights Academy was the first over the Maroons since the 2020 season.
The Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ is selected each week from one of the five schools in Christian County (Christian County, Hopkinsville, University Heights, Heritage Christian, and Fort Campbell) based on their performance in a big game or event for their team that week.
