Madisonville-North Hopkins Rides Nash Tapp’s Big Night Past Hopkinsville

The Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons soccer team and the Hopkinsville Tigers faced off on Monday evening, and the Maroons were able to hand the Tigers their first loss of the season.

Madisonville took a 2-1 lead into halftime after Nash Tapp scored two goals in the first 40 minutes of the game. Another goal from Tapp and two from Dom Blanford made it 5-1. Finally, two goals from Aiden Knight to close out the game sealed the win for the Maroons with a score of 7-3.

As for the Tigers, two of their goals came from Alex Ramirez, and the other from Eric Hernandez. This loss is their first of the season, as they tied their first game, and won their next two by a combined 11 goals.

They will be looking to get back on the right track on the road against Heritage Christian Academy on Tuesday, August 26th. The game is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.

As for the Maroons, they will be hoping they can start a win streak in their next game on Tuesday, August 19, against Daviess County at home. Their game is scheduled for 7 p.m.
