Lady Rebels Fall in Straight Sets at Muhlenberg County

The season opener did not go exactly as the Todd County Central Lady Rebels would have liked Tuesday evening. The Lady Rebels opened the 2025 season on the road at Muhlenberg County and came home with a straight-set loss to the Lady Mustangs.

Muhlenberg County set the tone early, winning the opening set 25-12 to go up one set to none.

The next two sets were battles, with the Lady Mustangs finding a way at the end to win both. Muhlenberg County won the second 25-23 and then closed out the match by winning the third set 25-22.

Todd County Central was led by Aubri Penick, who finished her night with 10 kills, 1 assist, 1 dig, 1 block, three aces, and had a 6-point serving run in the third set. Shelby Holderman added 14 assists and 1 dig. Allyssa Wofford ended up with 7 kills, 1 assist, and 4 digs.

Naomi Gammon added 3 kills, 6 digs, 1 ace, and had a 4-point serving run in the second set.

Chloe Collins added 5 digs and had several hustle plays that kept the Lady Rebels going in several rallies.
