You can’t spell ‘All A Title’ without ‘Allie’.
University Heights Academy sophomore Allie Sandifer shot a career best 82 on Thursday to claim the Second Region All A Classic girls golf title at the Cullan at Mineral Mound State Park outside of Eddyville.
Sandifer’s round was three shots better than runner-up and teammate Campbell Lindsey.
Their 1-2 finish allowed the Lady Blazers to win the region title for the fifth straight year and seven of the last eight.
Seventh-grader Ella Perry also put together a career-best round with a 91 to finish in fourth place. Caroline Tucker finished in eighth place with a 112, and Kylie Grace tied for 13th place with a 127.
The Lady Blazers will return to Richmond to play in the All A Classic State Tournament on September 6 at Arlington Golf Club.
The Lady Blazers finished in third place as a team on that course two years ago. Last year, they finished fifth when the tournament was held at Gibson Bay Golf Course.
