The first week of the volleyball season has gone in opposite directions for the Trigg County Lady Wildcats and the Murray Lady Tigers. The two teams met Thursday night in Murray.
The Lady Tigers took control of the match early on and took the three-set sweep on their home court. The win was the third straight for the Lady Tigers to open the 2025 season.
For the Trigg County Lady Wildcats, the loss was their third straight to open the season.
The Lady Wildcats did get some solid efforts on the court during the match. Grace Carver led the way with 5 kills, 6 aces, and one block. Trinity Perkins had 5 kills and one ace.
Chloe Adams and Sierra Williams led Trigg County in setting things up for their teammates. Adams had 7 assists, while Williams had 5 assists and added 3 service aces.
Lilah Booth joined Grace Carver in having a big night at the service line, finishing the night with 5 service aces.
The Lady Wildcats will look for their first win of the season Monday night as they host Crittenden County in a 5th District contest.
