Looking for their second straight road win to open the 2025 volleyball season, the University Heights Academy Lady Blazers ran into a bit of a buzz saw Thursday evening. Henderson County looked the part of a regional contender as the Lady Colonels picked up the straight-set win on their home court.

Henderson opened the night by taking the first set 25-21. The Lady Colonels then cruised through the second set 25-15 to extend their lead to two sets to none.

Henderson County then closed out the match by taking the third set 25-14 to complete the sweep.

Niyati Patel led the Lady Blazers at the net, finishing the match with four kills.

Gretchen Durham had 11 assists for the night for UHA.

Cassidy Keller led the team in digs with eight.

UHA (1-1) will get back on the court Saturday in the Smackdown at the Plex.
