The Lyon County Lady Lyons soccer team went up against the Union County Bravettes on Friday evening, and they were able to get their first win of the season in dominant fashion.
It was all Lyon County the entire game, as they were able to mercy rule Union County 8-0 with 35 minutes left to go in the second half. The team was able to score four goals in the matter of five minutes. The scoring slowed down a bit after that, but the win came all the same.
Lyla Melton and Eden Jones each had two goals, while Aliah Morgan, Nora Lucas, Karadari Hornback, and Karli Patterson all had one.
The Lady Lyons will be looking to keep this momentum in their next game on Saturday, August 23, against Muhlenberg County on the road. That game is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
