The Todd County Central Rebels took the first step Saturday towards a fourth straight 4th Region All A Classic boys soccer championship Saturday afternoon. The Rebels completely dominated the flow of play on the way to a 9-1 win over Clinton County on the Rebels’ home turf in Elkton.
The Todd County attack, while missing out on several opportunities, kept the Bulldogs on their heels all afternoon, with the Rebels outshooting Clinton County 41 to 2 for the match.
Samuel Perez-Camillo scored the opening goal for the Rebels just two minutes into the game.

Clinton County had a brief glimmer of hope a minute later when Edgar Perez Jacinton found himself staring at a clear net to even things up at 1-1. However, that would be the only shot on goal for the half for the Bulldogs.
John Ross Cardwell scored goals at 6:30 and at 11:30 to push the Rebels to a 3-1 lead. Charlie Campbell had the assist on the first of the two goals.
Cardwell assisted on a score from Spencer Pool at the 13:00 mark as the Todd County Central lead moved out to 4-1. The Rebels lost their offensive flow for much of the rest of the half as the score was still 4-1 when the half ended 27 minutes later.

It took the Rebels just 30 seconds to get on the board in the second half as Carson Caracciolo extended the lead to 5-1. Evan Stokes got clear on a run down the middle, and it was 6-1 at 58:30.
Charlie Campbell scored off a nice assist from John Ross Cardwell at 62:30 to make it 7-1. Cardwell then scored his third and fourth goals of the day at 68:30 and 74:45 to end the match on the 8-goal rule.
The win, which is the Rebels’ second straight, improves Todd County Central to 2-3 on the season and they advance to take on Foundation Christian in the next round of the 4th Region All A Classic in Bowling Green, Saturday, September 6, at 11am.
