Lady Rebels Rock Heritage Christian Academy in Straight Sets

The Todd County Central Lady Rebels picked a good night for their best performance of the young volleyball season. The Lady Rebels came out a bit slow but then got things going and rolled to a straight set win over defending 2nd Region champion Heritage Christian Academy Monday night in Elkton.

The Lady Rebels took the opening set 25-17 to get the early match lead. Todd County Central repeated that set performance in the second to go up two sets to none.

The Lady Rebels closed out the match strong by taking the third set 25-13 to complete the sweep.

Todd Central got a monster night from Shelby Holderman, who ended up with 36 assists, 2 kills, and one ace. Aubri Penick set a personal best by finishing the night with 23 kills, 2 digs, 1 assist, and 1 ace.

Allyssa Wofford added 14 kills, 7 digs, and 3 aces. Chloe Collins contributed 18 digs to the Lady Rebel cause.

For Heritage Christian, Hadlee Hayes led the attack at the net with 8 kills. Makenzie McCarty added 13 assists for the Lady Warriors.

Todd County Central improves to 3-3 with the win. The Lady Rebels go on the road Tuesday evening to take on Franklin-Simpson.

Heritage Christian Academy falls to 4-3 and gets ready to host Fort Campbell in an 8th District match Tuesday night.
