
Caldwell County had little trouble extending its winning streak against Hopkins County Central in 7th District volleyball action Tuesday night at the CAB gym in Princeton.
The Lady Tigers breezed to a 3-0 triumph, defeating the Lady Storm 25-9, 25-12, 25-8.
Caldwell has now taken 28 straight matches from Hopkins Central and holds a commanding 54-1 advantage all-time. (The Lady Storm’s only win against Caldwell came in the 2013 season.)

Chevy McGowan had nine kills and Med Thomas added eight kills for the Lady Tigers. Grace Watson had five kills and a block.
Kylee White totaled 28 assists, a kill, four digs and three aces.
Alaiyaa Shearer and Troy Freeman each recorded three kills and a block. Tink Clark had a kill, four digs and three aces.
Bella Pruit had four aces. Mycah Riddle had three digs. Maddie Cooper recorded two digs and two aces.

Caldwell is now 6-2 overall and 1-0 in district play. Hopkins Central is 1-4 and 0-1.
Both teams will go on the road on Thursday — the Lady Tigers to Muhlenberg County and the Lady Storm to Union County.
