
A night after losing a tough four-set match to Henderson County, the Christian County Lady Colonels were right back on the court, taking on another 2nd Region opponent in the form of the Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons. This one also turned out to be a four-set match, but in favor of the Lady Colonels.
After dropping the first set of the night, the Lady Colonels rebounded to take the next three and pick up a three-set to one win over Madisonville-North Hopkins in Lyle Dunba Gym.
The Lady Maroons came out and quickly made it clear that this would be no short and easy night for Christian County. Madisonville won the opening set 25-20 to go up one set to none.

The Lady Colonels got going quickly in the second set and never let up on the gas as they took a 25-9 win to even the match at one set each.
Madisonville put up a battle in the third set, but the Lady Colonels were able to get enough done late in the set to take a 25-21 win and go up two sets to one.
Christian County got up in the fourth set and kept control of the set throughout on the way to taking the set 25-17 and closing out the match three sets to one.
The Lady Colonels had big plays at big moments from Katie Cansler, Carly Armstrong, Kaidence Atwell, and Shiloh Baker.

For the Lady Maroons, there were big moments from Carlee Sandidge, Cadence Curry, and Sadie Kirk.
Christian County improves to 4-3 with the win. The Lady Colonels head off to Apollo this Friday and Saturday for the annual Apollo Summer Slam.
The Lady Maroons drop to 2-2 and will also be at Apollo this weekend.
