The Madisonville-North Hopkins girls’ soccer team held hosts Apollo to a single shot on goal on the way to a 3-0 victory on Thursday night in Owensboro.
McKinley Wilson had a brace to lead Madisonville, and Anna Sampson added a goal. Hadley Hodges and Aletheia Golightly each set up a goal to help the Lady Maroons improve to 4-2. Goalkeeper Nevaeh Lindle recorded her third shutout of the season.
Apollo slipped to 1-6 with its fifth loss in a row. The E-gals have lost the last five in the series with the Lady Maroons.
Madisonville will open 7th-district play on Tuesday when Hopkins County Central visits. The Lady Maroons own the series with the Lady Storm, with 33 straight victories and only one loss since 2000.
